Inserts of other materials
One of Techmire's specialities in providing die casting turnkey system, is the design and manufacturing of systems for the automated production of die casting with inserts of other materials. The insert of die casting process eliminates costly secondary assembly operations, and can be used to radically enhance the mechanical performance of a component compared with that of a simple zinc casting. Each of our die-casting turnkey systems preserves the numerous cost advantages of the multiple die casting process.
Achievements
Techmire's die casting turnkey systems include fully automatic systems to over-mold battery terminals on to stainless steel nuts, at a rate of 360 per hour. This die casting turnkey system was manufactured for a world leader in the manufacture of automobile and marine battery components. Techmire supplies fully automated insert die casting systems for wheel weights ranging in size from 5 grams to 60 grams in Zinc. Systems can be used to produce Lead wheel weights as well.
Semi-automatic
Some of Techmire's semi-automatic die casting turkey systems are made to over-mold zinc alloy hexagonal shafts on steel drill bits, for use in "quick release" electric drills. The system produces 1,200 items/hour. Other semi-automatic die casting turnkey systems are intended to over-mold hexagonal nuts on shafts, at a rate of 1,200 per hour.
